Guest Lecture - Douglas Hart

Today Douglas Hart came in to talk to us about his work.

  • 1985-6 - First music video. He didn't know what her was doing. It was a music video for his friends.
  • Paul Weller 1989-90 - like it to be spontaneous - out in the country - Weller didn't know they had finished filming - Made in the same way as the 1st video, no crew, just him.
  • Hart can make a video in a spontaneous way.
  • He seems to have a thing for colours in his music video. "Strong sense of colour"
  • Quite a lot of jump cuts and fast editing
