Looking over the Footage
Tuesday 12th March - Thursday 14th March
After the FMP talk last week me and the rest of the film students decided that today and the rest of the week we would look over the footage for Tanzania. There is about 40 hours of footage. About 36 hours of that footage is on the three Cannon XA10's. The rest is on the three Go-Pros that we took with us. This means that there is a lot of footage to look over. Not all of us are going to use the Tanzania footage for our FMP, however we wanted to review the footage together. We have to look over each shot individually and the shots that we can use we placed in the timeline. Today we looked over the Blue camera. By the end of the day we had gotten 10 hours of footage down to about 3 hours. The next day (Wednesday) we looked over the Green Cannon camera. The day after that (Thursday) we looked over the Red Cannon camera. By the end of the week we had managed to get about 36 hours of footage down to about 8 hours. This usable footage will be used to make about five different videos. These videos include documentaries and promotional videos. Next week we plan to go over the Go-Pros and start to edit the first promotional video.
